02 February 2021: First attempt to escape Pakistan from Lahore airport failed; passport was listed as "flagged" by FIA.
21 February 2021: Escaped, and arrived in Bangkok (Thailand)
15 March 2021: Submitted documents to UNHCR, Bangkok for registration as "asylum seeker" in Thailand.
23 March 2021: UNHCR interviewed and accepted me as an asylum seeker in Thailand
5 July 2021: UNHCR conducted my RSD interview
13 September 2021: UNHCR in Thailand recognized me as a 'protected refugee'
17 November 2022: UNHCR conducted my resettlement interview
7 February 2023: UNHCR informed me that my file is being forwarded to the Canadian embassy for resettlement.
8 February 2023: The Canadian embassy in Singapore asked me to reconfirm my postal address, phone, and email.
9 February 2023: The Canadian embassy sent me BIL (Biometrics Information Letter)
10 February 2023: The Canadian embassy sent me a Medical Exam Request
13 February 2023: I completed both biometrics and medical examination
21 February 2023: At the IRCC website checking tool, my status changed from "in processing" to "Decision Made"
21 February 2023: The Canadian embassy sent me a letter to sign up for "Pre-Arrival Services"
13 March 2023: The IOM (Thailand) sent me some forms to fill out for my flight loan and Emergency Travel Document.
24 May 2023: I landed at Vancouver airport, my life as a refugee was officially over, and I became Canada's Permanent Resident.
