As per Pakistan :)
I have now forgot the forms, can you please share the form number?

Part 3: IMM 3907 : Country specific instructions
Link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3907e.pdf

We fill out the form by viewing the checklist that we need to complete in order to complete the application package and in the guide it is clearly written about the instructions for Pakistan. There were few forms that were written for Srilanka in header so we skipped those. Following kind of sentences are written if the app/form is about Pakistan in the guide:
-Nationals of Pakistan
-Further clarification regarding the above-mentioned documents is given below for nationals of
Pakistan, Korea and Taiwan.
-Residency questionnaire - Pakistan

So most of the time we get to know in the checklist and to be on the safer end we DO read the complete guide for several times to clear things and related forms.
Hope you got the required answer.

I have heard that it takes aprox. 3 years to sponsor your spouse from pakistan
Any hopes that the time will be reduced now? Since it is being assessed in london, UK now?

Heloo Every one ,

I have applied for my husband in first week of November 2014, then the assessment of sponsor was approx 35 days now suddenly it jumps to 61 days and i am travelling to Pakistan in first week of January 2015 and im still on PR. my question is .

1. Can i travel outside Canada while my application is in process and it is in assessment of sponsor ?
2. Is this going to effect our application ?
3. how do i get the acknowledgement that they have received my file and when.

Thanks,

Answers are as following:
1. Yes you can fly.
2. No
3. Usually by an email, but sometimes they do not bother to send an email even so nothing to worry about.
Make your that your stay outside Canada does not exceed from few months (max 3 months) if you are a PR holder.
