Folks,
I have serious concern, per instructions I was asked to send all the docs in original to London VO and I did the same, but now many people I encountered and came acrosss that I should not have sent docs in original. Please advise what the real story is? All my docs including employment letters, contracts,Birth certificates, marriage certificate, acedemic transcripts and degrees etc etc are right now with London VO and havent been returned and I am getting worried now, did u all do the same Plz share?

No worries mate.. wy would'nt you send originals when they are asking for them???? i sent all originals asked in the VO checklist....they will return them in due course of time.......most probably with ppr or medicals..

No worries mate.. wy would'nt you send originals when they are asking for them???? i sent all originals asked in the VO checklist....they will return them in due course of time.......most probably with ppr or medicals..

Yes haral is right, they do send them back with the med request. I sent mine and just got everything back intact along with my medical forms. So no need to worry

I didn't send my original transcripts / degree. I attested from HEC, Notary public, verified from university and selaed in University sealed envelope. I mentioned in a cover letter that university only issues one set of originals so I need them and if they still need originals I can provide later ASAP.

I know many people got stuck due to this reason that they can't apply for other jobs / immigration due to originals stuck. My advise to you is you send them email as a matter of urgency and demand for your originals atleast degrees / transcripts.

Only original transcripts of degrees, ielts, PCC, Nikah Nama, Birth Cert., original experience letters etc were required to send. Transcripts, nikah nama, birth cert. will be returned but rest will not. At the time of Medical or after that you will get your originals not now.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.
Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

CIC is not mentioning in the email replies that since when the 2 years or more time starts. But I guess it would start from the date of 2nd AOR. 24-36 months max. time they are projecting for full procedure, but I guess they will try to finish it earlier provided that there is no change in immigration policy.

not a speculation my dear...VO confirms that too. Look at ur AOR...the average processing time and the time they give u for contacting them incase nothing is heard from them.....the difference in both time means they consider the procesing times from the day they have recieved your full app.

they recieved mine back in nov-10
they issued my an AOR in March-11
told me avg processing time is 12 months and i can contact them in 8 months if no further instructions are recieved...the 4 month difference is the time they took to issue AOR.........

But not confirmed by Visa Office? All are just speculating.
