I think it is better if you contact them and explain them the reason for not being able to send the docs in time. They grant you the extensions,

Hamsafar, thanks for your suggestion. I have sent them a note explaining the reason and the tentative date the docs will reach LVO. The good part is I have sent the docs today and DHL told me that the docs will reach LVO on Nov 17, which is the last day of 30 days period.

Dear All,

I received a letter from London Visa Office to send update documents and the right for permanent resident fee within 30 days of the date of letter. Due to some family matters I am not able to send the required documents within time given. Should I contact LVO and ask for an extension or just let them know that reason and send the docs as early as possible. The possible delayed would be just a few days.

Please advise.

I have done my Medical yesterday from IOM LHR


Staff was very nice and we done everything in 90 minutes

they offer us 3 different options regarding my wife's pregnancy

1. we can do X-rays with protective shield now
2. we can do all the tests apart from X-ray which can done after delivery or
3. last month of pregnancy (which is totally safe as they told us).


we have chosen 2nd option

they gave us a letter that i have to send CHC London and they kept photo copy of that letter and they will send that photo copy to India but they will not send my wife's other test reports (blood and urine) to CHC, they will keep those reports and will send altogether later with X-rays.

Dear Friends,

Pls give your advice. Whats the proceedure of changing the email address in CIC LVO. My current email address in their records is of hotmail but now for 2 days and today also i suspect that Hotmail might not be working properly. (in Karachi, Pakistan) all of Microsoft site (microsoft.com) and links are not opening. NO help nothing. Someone else experiencing this. Although i am receiving emails in my hotmail but i suspect iam not receiving all of them. Can anybody suggest any solution how to check that my Hotmail is receiving all emails. And whats the proceedure if i want to change my email address for correspondence with CIC LVO.

I am based in Dubai and did my medicals in April 2012 but havent recevied PPR. I sent a query and LVO replied that background checks are outstanding.
What is the experience of other Pakistani applicants. What is the average time from medicals to PPR?
Its been almost 7 months since medical. Is this normal?
I am supposed to be a normal law abiding citizen of pakistan with no connections with Zardari and hence a clean criminal record.

Any information?

Ur background checks would have cleared by now by "Mr. Mobile Ban" had u shown connections wid 10% or sorry now may be 50%. But u loose a chance.
