Hello Friends:

I thought of initiating this new topic for all those Pakistani applicants who applied before February 27, 2008 at CHC Islamabad under FSW category when Simplified Application rules were introduced. Those applicants who applied in first half of 2007 are particularly invited because that's when I did. Lets share our thoughts coz we know that CHC islamabad is not gona share their internal matters/policies. Please share where you stand today. Inform each other of your complete time line. This would help applicants from that period know how things are going down there at CHC islamabad.

Regards

Hello Friends:

A question for those who have already got their letters of interest from CHC. Has any one got a new letter of any sort/any email from CHC afterwards?

Hi cancon: buddy its good to see you...... well I think we all (applicants of first half of year 2007) just have got only one letter of interest from CHC ISB (after initial AOR) last year... at least I didn't get after that letter of interest...... did u?

Hello Farhan:

No love letter from CHC Islamabad since December 2008's letter of interest for immigration. Hoping to receive from them some thing after May 2010. What about you? Have you also been patient all this time or have to sent them an email yet? By the way where r u from? Lahore or Karachi?

I just came to know yesterday that CIC may launch the new criteria for immigration application...... they are bringing back the listed occupations from 38 (current) to 67. But then 6 months French language coarse would be mandatory for all at the time of application.
They are planning to launch it in April - May 2010....... this is what a reliable source has informed me.
If this happens... the advantage would be going for all of us, due to many reasons:
1- From Pakistan... at CHC ISB, only the few fresh applicants would be in the condition to provide 6 months French language certificate at the time of application...... result.. very little number of applicants can then apply... this would reduce the number of pending applications at CHC ISB.
2- By doing this they would be having much time to clear backlog applications.

I wish they do it as soon as possible.

Hi Farhan,
If it is correct then definitely it will reduce the backlog.

Hi Rajan,
Actually one of my fellow who is very keen in gathering such type of valid information, told me about it.......... very rite, if it is true, then our cases would be boosted-up...

Hello Farhan:

1. It sounds great that CIC is thinking about increasing the occupation categories. If this happens, it would definitly help a lot of those who wish to immigrate but can't as a result of their occupation not being on the ministirial list. But don't u worry man. We applied together and hopfully we should be receiving a request from CHC soon - i mean for documentation inshallah.

2. I beleive there are already a lot of people out there who aspires to move to Canada and are taking or have already taken french courses to suppliment their aplications to increase their prospects. Some are only doing 6 month certifications and some are taking 1 year diploma program at different universities. I think CHC would not have any problem with these certificates/diplomas if the applicant says he/she can prove his/her basic-moderate proficiency in the language at the time of interview. My opinion is that there is gult in the market.

Hi Cancon,
I believe, CIC is planning to do this step..... right now I'm also thinking to do a 6 months diploma or short coarse from French consulate..
U are very rite.... we applied in same month same year... we would be getting Doc Update Req together...

By that time.. you also try to get this news confirmed..

Hello Farhan,

Go ahead with the certification. It would be really helpful. Regarding your question on other thread, no updates so far. I am thinking about writing to CHC...I don't intend to make and enquiry rather notifying them of some thing......
