per received. 15 aug 2011
in process 9 jan 12
living in islamabad


i have observed that for people from pakistan they do lengthy background checks and after back ground checks they do security checks. so people we need to be patient. pakistan falls in special high risk countries. i have seen some people on this thread who have done medicals are waiting for passport request but first they need to go through security checks which can take 4-5 months...in short we need to wait and for us its a long wait compared to other nationalities.

btw anybody got in process in january from pakistan like me.

As there are already too many threads, its becoming very difficult to follow all of them. I just thought I'd try to make one place where we can share our time-lines and will help us in predicting further timelines !!!!!!

For how long your background checks are going on.
As my background checks were started in Agust, 2011 and still going on.

after seeing tracker and reading this forum i have also observed that so far just one pakistani applicant who is actually living in pakistan got visa. he is sam786 i think. no one pakistani resident from post june applicants got visa so far. some pakistanis got visa but they are not living in pakistan. they are living in middle east like saudi arabia. devillhimself got visa. he is living in saudi arabia

i think u r right sam786 is not living in pakistan but i think shah0207 is the only applicant living in pakistan who got visa....i think we need to plan a long wait before any movement.. (why curse it and burn our blood ;D) ...i hope all of us will get visa soon...

i applied my first application bacck in 2007 and waited and waited, then i applied again in Nov 2010, and so far after 14 months i m still IN PROCESS... i got IN PROCESS back in october, so waiting for three months now to get medicals..
there seam to be no chronological manner for the process of these applications as well.. like i hav seren many people who applied in June July 2011 who are IN PROCESS afgter just 6 months. while i had to wait for 11 months.. and some people from 2010 are sttill waiting to get in process..
so inshallah things will improve for all of us, so remember us in your prayers as well...
but the truth still remains that even under fast track immigration, 1.5 years have passed now since it started and mostly pakistanis are still waiting... (

ohh yes, i wanted to request everyone to request Someone-Somwhere to put back the excell sheet tracker he had on..
it gave us a sence of direction of how applications are getting processed, bvut now there is no tracker for our dates here..
plz put it back on, and i'll also try to update it.. just explain me if we update it directly on the excell sheet or we save it to the pc and update it and then again upload it...

actually one more thing i have observed that people who get medicals early then see a long wait afterwards..i may be wrong but i think if they send medicals early then they do back ground checks after
and then even after sending your medicals one can expect a long wait of security checks and it continues even after sending passports....only God knows whats the truth....and how they deal with each individual..

i feel for u dear that u first applied in 2007 and still hanging...my prayers for u..

yes someonesomewhere pls put tracker back..and he can tell what is better way to update it...

i asked Qorax sir twice ist before the reply of CHc n second after their reply abt back ground checks, both times he gave opinion that the time is 3-5 months.............

its not just back ground checks that take time...after back ground checks they do security checks and no one knows for sure how long they gonna take.. pakistan comes under high risk countries....some people get it done in a month or so and for some people it can take ages...just pray for urself and others to pass through quickly and smoothly.....good luck to you...
