I just phoned IRCC and their agent said that everything is in order. She said that even if the wrong office receives my application - they will internally transfer it to proper office. She suggested to patiently wait.

Apply for extension as well...cover your butt....you will also learn that just because you call and you get some nice person on the phone @ CIC you can call back and get a completely different answer...and call again and get another answer....So apply for the extension...

Yea... I know what you mean.

Ok - I submitted online application to extend my stay as a visitor. So...I am safe till decision is made, right? My status is considered as implied, right?
