We have our inland application almost ready - just waiting for the Option C printout from CRA. I just realized that we completely forgot about the OWP application that we intend to submit along with our application.

Which application form do we need to submit for that and is it just one form that is required to apply for OWP?

There is no specific application just for an OWP, it is the "Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker".

just to let you know: We sent our option c about a week or two after we sent in the application, with reference to our file number. Just in case you want to send it in a little sooner...

I believe you can add your OWP application after you have sent in your sponsorship/PR application, too. Why not send it in as a follow-up package a little while after you submitted the app ?

Though it's possible to do this, I advise against it, as there is always the risk that the apps will not be matched up.

It is best to send the OWP with the PR app.

yup Canuck_in_uk is right, i used "Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker" and on top of that form just write "appication for Open Work Permit", it worked for me

I found instructions that suggest writing: OPEN WORK PERMIT WITH INLAND SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION

This alerts the OWP department that you also have a sponsorship application in process simultaneously.

Yes, it's best to write something like that across the top of the OWP form, as it will prevent CIC from mistakenly processing it before AIP.

Thanks a lot guys! We ordered the option C printout last week Monday and it should be coming in anytime.
I will doing the OWP application today. Thanks for the tip to write the label on top of the application.
Does the OWP application form goes in the same envelope as the rest of the application?

Yes, according to the person that I asked this very question to at CIC. Even though they are `processed' in a different
building/location, they are to be in the same GIANT envelope with everything else. LOL!
