To agree with Canuck you are making too much out of this. You have been given (multiple) answers but it's obviously not what you want to hear.

I don't know when your visitor status runs out but id personally extend it.

I would also include the OWP app with the application. I have no idea why you wouldn't do that, makes no sense to wait.

Extend your visitor status before it expires. Do not let that lapse. Don't think about it, just do it.

Include your OWP with your PR application. It will NOT confuse anyone, except apparently you.

Stop trying to reinvent the wheel, man! You are getting good and sound advice from members on this board who have been around this block several times. Listen to what they're telling you.

Ok I see,

My visitor status expires mid June,
I'd be sending my OWP and PR June first aprox 2 weeks before my status expires.

Just curious what would happen if my OWP permit is accepted first.

Would they still accept my visitor status (which I wouldn't need) or should I notify them to cancel it? If so how long does it take to withdraw

It does not matter which happens first. Only that you keep your status while your PR application is processing.

Nothing happens if you get your OWP first, except you can now go find a job and work legally.

They will not cancel each other out and you do not need to take the time to withdraw. Think of them both as back up plans to your PR application.

You need to maintain status up to the day you land as a PR. Visitor status and/or OWP will provide you with a start to that. Doesn't matter which one you have, or which one comes first (think chicken or the egg here) only that you are satisfying the requirement.

Oh ok I see, just so I understand

I would be able to continue working if my visitor status was accepted after?

Sounds good to me, for some reason I thought they cancelled each other out?
