Hi my mom have 10 year multiple visitor visa. She first came to Canada in Mar 2016 and left in Aug 2016. She came second time in Sept 2016 but this time she was only given entry for 1.5 month but she was not told that by immigration officer. She stayed 6 months. I applied for one month extension after she was here from 4 months so she can stay total 7 months but I received a letter from CIC on Mar 2017 that she overstated and must leave Canada voluntary or a action might be taken, she left Canada same day. Now after 6 months of this incident I bought a ticket for her coming in Mid Sept 2017 and leaving in January 2018. Will immigration ask her something or will they give her any hard time?
Thanks everyone

It's hard to say and none of us can predict what will happen at the border. It's possible they will give her a hard time and limit her stay. Also possible they will allow her in without issue.

I would have personally waited for longer than six months before having her return to Canada. I also would have booked a shorter trip (a few weeks or a month).

Nothing you can do but see what happens when she arrives and hope for the best.
