Hello,

I got 5.5 writing, 6.5 listening, 7.5 reading and 8 in speaking.

Am I eligible for PR under 2174 NOC Category

Thanks
TIELTS

No - you're not eligible. You need a minimum of 6 in each category. You'll need to take the test again.

^ Same answer. You have to re-take the test. We're of the same NOCs by the way. Instead of IELTS, I took CELPIP.

you're going to have to raise your writing score to a 6 to be eligible!

No - you need a minimum of 6 in each category. Your score is way too low.

Hi,

Yes, you can apply for PR but remember, you will not get point against your writing which is 5.5. I would like to tell you that my first couzin had applied from toronto and his ielts score was (Reading : 5.5, Listening:6, Writing:6.5, Speaking:6) and his case has been approved with this IELTS score. He got 13 points in language and his overall points were 69. It is my personal experience, however, you can consult with others. Thanks

Wrong. The OP as has been explained requires 6 in each module.

Hi PMM,

It is fact, actually, i prepared my couzin case and he got approval. Moreover, his wife IELTS score was 7. if you do not have 6 band in any module then you will not get points against that module.

This is my experience which i told you.

Hi,

I want to claim adaptability point of my spouse.
In this case she passed the IELTS exam recently with overall score 5.5
L=5.5, R=4.5, W=5 & S=6.5

If I want to claim undear "adaptability" factors the IELTS score must me at CLB level 4.

Can I eligibile to get point 5 undear "adaptability"?

I want to apply for
Catagory-1
Skill Level-A
NOC 2011: 2147 Computer Engineers (Except Software Engineers)

Thanks.

zoynur,

What your wife got is not enough to apply PR under 2147. We would need CLB 7 i.e 6 in each module.

Kiranmai

Hello Kiranmai,

Thanks for your concern.

Actually my wife is not applying PR under 2147.

I am the main applicant and I have CLB 7. May I claim additional 5 points for my wife/spouse as she scored in IELTS L=5.5, R=4.5, W=5 & S=6.5

Thanks.

1. Yes it would qualify for 5 points for adaptability see: http://www.ieltsessentials.com/results/ielts_for_canada.aspx
2. I assume you know that FSW is closed for NOC 2147?
