Hi, i have got below IELTS score

L-7.5, R-6.5, W-5.5 and S-6.5 and overall-6.5. I am planning to apply PR under CEC category with NOC-2174.

Suppose if i submit PR with above score and got AOR number :). Meantime i attempted IELTS again and assume i got 6.0 in all modules. In this case, can i submit my IELTS score card again after AOR generation?

Your application will be refused, as you don't qualify. They won't accept you new IELTs.

You won't get AOR. Your application is going to be refused and returned to you. So it's a bad plan and a waste of time.

There are different cutoff scores depending on your profession/occupation category

If your occupation is classified as NOC O or A Level then you need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

O refers to a managerial occupation
A is an occupation that requires a university degree (Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate)

If you're in the remaining category classified as NOC B (post-secondary or vocational training) then the cutoff is lower, which is,
5.5 for Listening or Writing
5.0 for Reading or Speaking

Here's the link for the broad NOC classification:

Here's the link for the cutoff scores required for the Canadian Experience Class:

What do you mean by that they closed NOC 2147
There's a limit of 300 applicants for this particular occupation and the number has been reached already.

So you'll have to wait if you want to apply under this NOC

Hi,

Yes, you can apply for PR but remember, you will not get point against your writing which is 5.5. I would like to tell you that my first couzin had applied from toronto and his ielts score was (Reading : 5.5, Listening:6, Writing:6.5, Speaking:6) and his case has been approved with this IELTS score. He got 13 points in language and his overall points were 69. It is my personal experience, however, you can consult with others. Thanks
Hello

Has ur couzin applied in FSW 2013?

Hello Kiranmai,

Thanks for your concern.

Actually my wife is not applying PR under 2147.

I am the main applicant and I have CLB 7. May I claim additional 5 points for my wife/spouse as she scored in IELTS L=5.5, R=4.5, W=5 & S=6.5

Thanks.
Zoynur
