Hi,

I did the landing back in December 2014 and came out of Canada by Dec end. I got the Canadian PR card in January 2015. Since then I am outside Canada due to my work. Now I am planning to move to Canada my April this year.

As per the rules I still have time (2 years) to stay in Canada till my PR expires which will be in Feb 2020. I want to know

1. When I move to Canada around April/May, Will it be problem at the immigration as I have stayed outside for long time now.

2. Is it normal to move when you have around 2.5 years left in your PR duration. Any complications, problem anyone sees here.

3. Can I move an work in Montreal if I get offer to work there.

Thanks

I do not see any issues. Your PR card is still valid and have ample time before expiry

Not sure what you mean by "normal". However, based on the rules, you qualify for re-entry and can finish your residency requirements.

3. Can I move an work in Montreal if I get offer to work there.
Unless there was some condition on your PR card that stated you have to stay in a province for a minimum time/period, I do not see any problem with that.

Thanks

Reference 3) assuming of course your French is good which you might find useful to get a job in Montreal
