outlanding case, sent in passport to CPC-Ottawa

Hi guys,
Is there anyone sent in passport to CPC-Ottawa? How long does/did it take to get passport back in your case? I sent in my last Friday, hopefully by sharing ppl can refer to this post knowing their waiting time : )

Hi i sent my passport for Permanent Resident visa as well to Ottawa on Friday 20th Nov and they got it on Monday 23rd. so we both are in the same boat lets see how long does it takes

Hi,
I am an outland applicant too. Sent passport to CPC Ottawa on Nov 16th. Xpresspost tracking shows "Out for Delivery" since Nov 18th. Hopefully it was delivered that day. Based on information from the Ottawa thread it takes about 2 weeks for inland applicants to get their passport back from Ottawa. I am assuming it will be the same for us.

thank you for your sharing guys, apart from keep tracking the prepaid returning tracking number, is there any other ways to know how the processing goes?

I opened a ticket with Canada post and called them as well. They said sometimes it is delivered at mailing rooms of government buildings and the status is not updated. I even sent an email to CPC Ottawa. I am not sure if there is anything else I can do. Most likely it was delivered, since according to a different thread on this forum quite a few people see this happen. So fingers crossed

I don't think so. You could email CPC Ottawa, but chances of them replying back are remote.

Yeah the most we can do is email otherwise we have to wait till they send our passports back! and the processing time varies someone is getting back in a week or some people go them in 15 days or a month... lets hope doesn't take us that long

For those who are interested (and probably waiting nervously), we received the PPR on November 9, sent it the same day and was delivered on November 10. Tracking on the return envelope activated today (November 25) at 4:30. We expect it in Edmonton Friday. So 11 working days to process. 17 days total, including weekends/holidays.

We still have no idea what's in the envelope ( it could be anything from the COPR to a lump of coal in time for Christmas). ECAS hasn't changes since the PPR and all we did was estimated how long it would take to process based on what the Ottawa spread sheet was indicating for PPR to Visa received (about 2 weeks average).

Some points of interest:

Got the COPR today through Express Post. That would make the pick up at CPC Ottawa November 26. The COPR was approved November 12 (received November 10, November 11 stat holiday), then it took 14 days just to get to the mail room!

Can you also share when is your expiry date on COPR or Permanent residency visa on passport?
