NO! All INLAND applications are processed [entirely] IN CANADA. The INLAND application is processed differently than an Outland application entirely, which may contribute to why it takes so much longer (but doubtful).MarkGuy said:Here's where we seem to be going in circles.
Some say the processing time is not related to where the applicant is residing.
Others say if the couple is together (INLAND) and applying OUTLAND, then they will take their time with the app because they will think it is not urgent. After all, the couple is together, right?
Some say the time for an INLAND/OUTLAND app is not the same time
as for an OUTLAND/OUTLAND app. Some say it is.... and on and on we go.
Inland application consists of two approval stages:
1. Assessment of sponsor + evaluation of the applicant and his/her relationship with the sponsor
2. Assessment of applicant regarding potential inadmissibility concerns (medical or criminal
Outland applications have the same `steps', but the first stage is ONLY the approval of the sponsor.
The bottom line is that if a person submits an Inland application, they should expect substantially longer processing times!
Instead of arguing with the reasons why, just be thankful that you have this information NOW...BEFORE you apply!
Oh...and you haven't told us yet where the applicant is from. ;D
