Outland waiting in Canada

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure I've read a post about this before, but have a quick question for anyone who has been through the same thing. My British husband has his application in process, but my UK visa is expiring next week so we are returning to Canada. From what I understand, many people have applied outland and waited in Canada as a visitor. My question is regarding the address that CIC will have for my husband. Does he just keep it as his British address and when COPR arrives have someone mail it to him in Canada? Or should he notify CIC and tell them that he is in Canada for the next 6 months and give an address there?

He can put your address in Canada as his mailing address no problem with an Outland Application. Also probably a good idea to add your address as his residential address too, if he will be here in Canada a long while.. My wife is a US citizen and has been here with me the whole time while we await our Outland Application.. They mailed us a few weeks ago asking her country of residence as I guess we put the US address on the forms, and her being here so long makes Canada her country of residence etc. She emailed them back and gave my address and said this is her address and country of residence as a visitor.. Then just a few days ago our online status changed to DM finally..

Long story short lol, yes change his mailing address at least 8)
