Outland Spousal sponsorship - Can I start the application before I have my children's Canadian citizenship certificate?

I am just in the process of starting the application to sponsor my husband's PR, and I realized I need to also get my Children's Canadian Citizenship Certificate first.

I am submitting the paperwork online for the kids (4 and 8) tomorrow, can I go ahead and submit the application to sponsor my spouse before I receive the documents back for my kids?

It's in the guide:
"If you’ve submitted an application for proof of citizenship for your child, and it hasn’t been finalized, you must provide details in a letter and include it as part of your application so that we can check the status."

The easiest way to provide the details is include a short letter plus copies of the application for citizenship (or whatever you can from the online application).
