Hi Wakki,

We received the medical request on April 16th. But things are a bit complicated now, because we are expecting the delivery of the baby towards the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Also the nearest panel physician available is in a city 4 to 5 hours away from our place. We are not sure of when will it be the nearest safest date to travel, we might get a better picture , when we visit the doctor next on the 22nd of April. So should I inform this to the VO by webform, or do will I need to request any documents from the doctor as well? Is it possible to get an extension of the medical request?

Thanks
Hi,

my sister was in similar situation. She got medical in march ( 2 months before delivery). We went to physician got her medical done other than x-ray. Doctor will provide you with the letter that says you opted out of xray. They will submit reports other than x-ray and you also have to send them that letter through a web-form.

You can always call cic to see if they provide you wth extension to do everything after delivery, but i would say make sure cic is informed, sometimes there is no reply from webform. they might think you missed 30 day time for medical. So call cic

Hi ,

Thanks for the reply, actually I tried contacting CIC in their toll free number for Canada, but it is very difficult to connect. Is there any number to directly contact the New Delhi visa office?

My wife is pregnant and expecting in September, we started the medical but postponed the xray until after birth.
We are planning on doing the xray as soon as she gives birth. How long do you guys think our application will be done after we do xray and receive ppr? Our app is outland and is in Mississauga. GcKey says they started processing background check.

Okay so since I did not receive any response from CIC for almost 15 days(on May 1st) after requesting for an extension( I have also attached a letter from our gynaecologist with the request), I send an email to NDVO with the same request. On May 3rd my wife went into labour and we had our Baby:). Since we had till May 16th, we had booked an appointment with the panel physician on the 14th of May. But today we got an email reply from NDVO saying, Once our child is born, I should inform this to CPC Mississauga , and both Mother and child can do the medicals together later. I am yet to inform CIC about the birth of the bay. This is because I am yet to receive the birth certificate of the baby. In many threads, I have seen it been mentioned that we will get some kind of a document from the hospital which we use at municipality/corporations to apply for the birth certificate of the child. But seems like this is no longer the case, hospitals directly gets the document issued from the local bodies, I am not sure whether it is for this hospital alone either. I will most probably Inform the birth of the child to CPC via webform , and send another webform later with all the documents(except for the passport) as mentioned in the first part of this thread. For the passport( because it takes a bit more time) I guess I will send a third webform.

It took them almost two months after we sent the webform to recieve the extension letter.

After medical it jjust says medical received but we have not received any update since then, they also submitted a webform with baby's birth certificate.

They were supposed to get an email on which office the file was transferred to but nothing yet.

Ours said background check started in march, and has already been transferred since march, we're still waiting for our baby's delivery.

Hi there is an update,

I send all documents the documents as mentioned in the mail to CIC via webform, also added the passport of the Baby as soon as it was available, a few days back CIC send me this letter, requesting the following documents,

1. Processing fees in the amount of $150 that are paid in a form as outlined on the IRCC website.
2. A newly completed and signed "Application to sponsor , Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking" ( IMM 1344). Please write ADD-ON on the first page of all the forms that you are submitting.

3. An amended IMM008 which lists this individual as a dependent of the principal applicant.

  • Ensure that you specify whether or not this dependent will accompany the principal applicant to Canada in question #11 under the dependents section.
  • You must also specify their dependency type in question #12.
4. A copy of child's birth certificate.
5. A copy of this child's passport or travel document.
6. Proof that the child has under gone an immigration medical examination.
7. Any other document required of your relative based on where he/she resides.

For faster service you may send the requested documents or any questions regarding your application at the case specific enquiry link.

The above documents are to be submitted within 30 days of the date of this letter, along with a copy of this letter.

I had previously submitted all forms and documents except IMM 1344( as this was not mentioned in the link) and the medicals for the baby earlier, but I have received this letter to resend the forms, I presume maybe they want the forms to be refilled with the passport/other document details.

I checked with a number of panel physicians, but they are not able to submit the medicals for the baby without the medical request.

I am submitting all other documents along with a question regarding the medicals. And wait for the reply. Will post updates.

Thanks

Hi everyone! I also have a question regarding pregnancy during outland sponsorship. Hope somebody can answer my questions thanks. Im canadian citizen , i have sent my application in Feb 2019 . At the time i sent the application , my wife was not pregnant yet. So in the application i checked “NO” in the section that asked if she is pregnant. In April 2019, i went to visit my wife and she got pregnant during the time i visited her . She is now 3 months pregnant. She has done her medical exam before she got pregnant and also did her biometric fingerprints. I want to know , do i have to inform CIC now that she is pregnant or should i wait longer ? Do i need to add the newborn to this application ? Thanks i really appreciate it if someone can help me answer this questions.

You don't need to inform them of the pregnancy. If she gives birth before becoming a PR, you will need to update IRCC. Assuming you were born in Canada or naturalized, the child will be Canadian and not added to the app.

If the baby is born outside Canada , Do i need to get Citizenship certificate first before applying for a passport for the baby ? I am Canadian citizen.

The Certificate app must be submitted. However, you can submit the passport app concurrently and a limited issue passport can be issued based on the submission of the Certificate app before it is actually approved.
