Hi, after waiting almost 1year for this big day to come, we are very close to the day of my husbands interview. Am very excited also paranoid. Anyone has any relevant tips for the interview?
We have gathered all our proofs to bring for the interview, since am late in my pregnancy i cannot go backhome to support and be there with him for the interview and not planning on having the baby outside of canada anyway.

The proofs of our relationships to bring at the interview are:
-over 50 pictures of our wedding (everyone attended)
-pictures/passport stamps/hotel receipts of visit to him 2x after we got married
-proofs of comunication skype call history, cell phone history, calling cards pictures
-some receipt of money transfer & gift
-pictures of tattoo of each others name on our arm
-proof that we are expecting our first baby (doctor letter with due date)
-tax return paper(showing that i declared my husband on it)
-Proofs that we applied TRV 2X once for valentines once to come to support the last months of my pregnancy (both was refused.
-Gonna have a letter of the lawyer who notorized our wedding certificate because he was at the wedding and will confirm the marriage was legal and he attended the wedding, also the owner of the hotel where we got married confirming the number of guess and that the marriage was held at such and such date..)

Anyone is there something that i am forgeting that i should get?

Anyone who attended an interview if you could tell me what kinda question they asked you it will be very much appreciated. I know they ask stuff based on the application but is there any type of tricky questions that you have been asked that you didnt expect? Am gonna have a baby and i cannot think of waiting anylonger for my husband to be here to support me and our baby. we are crazy and desperate to be united.

thank you for your time-

Hey Shiny88,

Good luck to your husband for the interview, and congrats on your pregnancy - it's for sure stressful to be away from your husband so I hope you can be reunited soon.

I am no expert in interviews, but it seems to me that you are well prepared, and that you are bringing quite a lot of proofs ( well your husband is). From what i understand, the questions are mostly related to your common history as a couple, and to make sure that he knows you. So any information about your family, your work, your hobbies, your friends etc - things that are written on your application and that your husband would know about is likely to be asked. So make sure he knows where and when you went to school, when you graduated, where you worked, before and now, and any questions about your family, and he will be fine! trust that your relationship is genuine, tell him to be honest, to try and stay calm and polite no matter what. If he is not comfortable in english, he can request a translator. If he is comfortable in english, but misses a question, it's best for him to say " i didn't understand the question, could you please repeat it?" rather than trying to answer it anyway...

Good luck!
Sweden

Will my husband have to go to the US for an interview or just Canada? I was a little confused. If so, can we have them on the same day? Do people ever have to do a interview in the US and then one in Canada or one or the other.

It depends how you applied. If you applied Outland, then he will do his interview at his foreign visa office. (If he's American, in his Appendix A, he should've selected a visa office in the USA to pick from.) If he applied Inland, his interview will be in Canada. Usually there's only 1 interview for determining the validity of the relationship.

My husband graciously allows me to do all the work too. He better be glad I love him. Hehe. Actually, he's not good at paperwork and reading. He's better at building and fixing things, so I do CIC paperwork and he builds shelves for me. Fair deal?

If we get called for an interview (looking at my pile of proof, they'd be morons to waste their time) I'm making him go with me. I think if its possible, you should both go. It shows support.

We selected a few e-mail exchanges between us and also attached a search of all the messages exchanged between us (in gmail you can create a filter for your partner's e-mails - we just printed the search results because no one wants to read through 1000+ e-mails).

Am gonna have a baby and i cannot think of waiting anylonger for my husband to be here to support me and our baby. we are crazy and desperate to be united.

thank you for your time-
My husband was interviewed when he landed here. They asked him so many questions. Some of the questions he wasn't sure about the answer and he told them honestly that he is not sure about it. They asked him my phone number and address in Canada.

LOL. Mine isn't either but he is trying. I told him that I would like him there. But with the questions that I hear of, won't be so bad.
