Hi guys, i got some updates, hope it will help someone.

So what happened is that the Hong Kong office emailed me said they need a Canadian police check since i have lived in Canada for more than six months since i was 18.
The thing is that when i was doing my application, on their website, it states you might or might not need a Canadian police check because i believe if i have any criminal charges they would know
that; so i did not include the Canadian police check in my package. and i did not submit the police check when i received the AOR 2 document request(two month ago).

Now i suggest if anyone is having the same situation as i did, just go get that police check and mail it to the office, took me 10 minutes to get it. and i should have done it two month ago. instead of waiting all that long for them to ask for it. It might delayed my application for two months....you never know.
so please do yourself a favour, don't be lazy like i did.

I didn't get any email from CIC regarding my SA approval. Congratulations for the SA..how do you log in?.with whose information? I tried receipt number with sponsor information..couldn't be found!

Also I linked my application to my cic account but nothing there..only says open.

I used my application number (which I got it by phone) with sponsor information. Also for me it works with client ID of sponsor instead of the application number.

This is crazy..I tried all numbers on my work permit to jog in with combination of sponsor info as well as my info..no luck!
Called CIC talked with an agent who wasn't really helpful. I told her that I tried all the possible numbers on my work permit and nothing came up. she said" there may be system glitch"..I have been trying for 3 weeks not the first time though..

Anyway as soon as I hang up I typed my info,,boom..I accessed my application. only one line: application received.
She did something for sure during my call. it cant be just a coincidence .

Hello everybody, I am Brazilian and I am in Canada as a tourist, I came here because me and my boyfriend are getting married, what do we need to start the process? Also what does he need to "sponsor" me under marriage? How long time does it take? Do I receive an open work permit then? If we marry inside Canada, am I good to stay here until the process is done anyways?

whats the exact email that asked Canadian police check? can you copy paste here please?? some amils are sent automaticly regardless you have or havent sent the documents

no, sending it to ottawa does not mean they think it's an inland application. the process is completely different, and you would not have received the SA letter you got. CIC sends applications to ottawa they consider straight forward to help reduce backlog at other offices. This is a good thing, and might suggest you'll see approval much sooner.
