I'm assuming your friend is from the Ottawa office? Do you know if his/her ecas changed to DM after the test? Was the Oath invite on ecas or by mail or both?

Yes, he is from ottawa. Ecas changed to DM but yet to receive the invite by mail.

I applied April; got test in november and oath in january. I'm from ottawa as well

Does it seem odd that since Dec. 3 I have had nothing- no update to ecas, no correspondence...maybe no news is good news...I guess.

yes, i had DM 2 days after test.

What did citizenship officer tell you in your interview? Did she/he tell every thing okay? Have you tried getting ATIP?

Officer was very pleased, he said I don't see any red flags and I should be able to approve your application by the end of the day. Expect oath in 2 months.

I haven't ordered and an ATIP but starting to think that maybe I should. What kind of information would it show me?
Also, which type of ATIP would I request? the one that costs $5 or the free one/

Both free & $5 one are same. So order free one.
It might show if something is still under process. For eg security checks etc Are you from middle east?

Yep - middle east. Has it been known to take longer? Either that or finger prints (I have a different last name in my passport than my PR card)
Maybe I'll order an ATIP tonight.

Sorry for disappearing i had a crazy week. I did my finggerprints on monday it took 10 mins but i hope they reach cic quickly..

Welcome back!! Thanks for the update. I have the exact same name issue and middle eastern background as well.
Where do you go to do the FPs?? Are they all done and sent electronically? Should reach CIC right away if it was electronic (one would think anyways)

Sorry I was taken with work, I didn't give any updates.
I received my letter to attend my oath ceremony on March 14th.
My ecas went to decision made Feb 11.
