Hello Sharuu,

I did my medical in July 2011 and I am December 2010 applicant, My status got changed in October 2011 as In Process and Medical results have been received, it has been 8 months since Medical receive status change... and still wating..

I always thought that you get PR Visa based on Medical Examination validity? Is that not true?

Well that is there first priority but sometime things are out of control on their hand too.. for instance what if officer in charge of your file goes on vacation/maternity leave/ emergency leave etc.. or they require security check and CSIS officer in charge of your security clearance is sleeping.. in either case our file get stuck and sometime get stuck more than one year of medical validity.. what i have noticed so far if you have done your medical in Canada then there are more than 50% chances they will extend the medical results for next 3 or 6 months and extension depends on complexity of the case, if they think the file can be processed in one month then they won't bother for re-medical and in either case it depends if the case was not processed in timely manner because of their busyness, laziness or mistake...

Guys,

Do you have your address reappeared?

Thanks

What is the logic of address disappearance in ecas? does it affect your processing? what i have searched on this forum so far the senior members agree there isn't importance of address appearance or disappearance in case processing.. As i remember my address was never disappeared however what i remember my ecas was updated in October 2011.. which shows my permanent as well as posting address before it was only showing one address..

as far as I know; when you have your address disappeared, it means your file is opened and being processed and at this stage you cannot update your file as your case is locked by one of the officer. When they are done with your file and close it (Temp or finally reviewed) they let your address reappeared again.

Adeeb, being a database guy i know these locks are "write lock" not "read locks" that means if the case is opened then no one else can write on it but others will continue see the status of case before it was locked. So we have read access on ecase that means we should see old status if the case is locked by officer and we will see updated status as soon as the officer will "check in" i.e. make his changes permenant and release the lock.

This is exactly what I mean, They lock it so we don't have access to change the address (part of the address field is a link to update\change address), because the case is opened exclusively by the officer. and we have a read access to some case fields. I am not a database expert, I am a network guy, since it is your area maybe you know better than me... :)
But i read a lot of forum, and people linked the ppr or any changes hapenning in their cases with address appear\disappear.

Be patien bro, i have feeling that they didn't forward your case to Ottawa, because there is no point of forwarding it to Ottawa as your case is ready for final review. So they might have transfered to Detroit or any other Americal VO. The next thing you will hear from them is PPr.
