Hi
I am Ottawa applicant. Had my citizenship test on Jan 14 2016 and ECAS changed to Decision made on Mar 16 2016. Have not received Oath yet (no letter or ECAS updated). When called CIC I was told that it will take 6 months for oath so keep on waiting. Why such a long time to get oath when everything is ok and a decision has been made? I do not see any reason for this.

If anybody on same situation please share.

Why is there a 2 months difference between ur test and the decision made? Were u asked for extra documents or fingerprints?

No I wasn't asked for anything. During the interview, I was told that everything looks fine and they are just waiting for security clearance to show up and I should get oath invitation within 2-3 months. That's why I don't understand the delay. Don't know if Ottawa is slowing down or struggling with getting people into Oath Ceremony cause there aren't enough of them.

Just being curious, please where does Gatineau residents take their Citizenship Oath? Montreal or Ottawa?
