Based on this statement, "social media info showing public relationship", does this have to be on Facebook or on Social media platform. I was planning to provide Regular pictures of both our families together, but not in Facebook/social media. Will this be accepted?

Since it refers to examples in its list, none of those items are required and it's up to you to decide.

So no, no need to use social media if you don't want to.

If you don't refer to the fact that you are married and refer to yourself as single or dating that will be an issue. Some people do a court marriage to start the sponsorship process while planning on getting married later on. Their extended family and friends are unaware of the court marriage and they are often only married on paper. That is the type of situation IRCC is trying to identify.

I sent a printoff of my wife and I’s “about” page, showing that we are listed as married on Facebook.

That's why I have pictures of Us (both of us) with each other's extended families and friends, but it's not on social media. So that will be a proof of recognized by family and friends, am i correct?

Again, select the best evidence you have. If you don't use social media, that's fine.

I think the point above was that if your public social media profiles contradict what you are saying (ie they say you're single) that would potentially be an issue. But choose what shows your situation.

During my appeal hearing, they asked about photos I posted on social media. they asked why my husband did not have FB so if you both have a FB account make sure your relationship is displayed on both parties page and you link that you are married to the other. Make sure your friends and family comment or like pictures. Its sad we need to do all this to prove we are in a genuine relationship.

Its so weird that these officers think everyone is using social media sites. I do have social media account but not everything is on it. They think our lives revolve around the internet.

Social media is a common area that IRCC, CBSA, police...etc check.

I think it's OK to not post anything or do not post a lot of public information. But it's different if you post conflicting information out there.
