Options to send passport to VFS India (Ahmadabad) - Super visa approved

My supervisa timeline as follows:

Applied: March 08, 2018
Medicals: Upfront
Application updated with medicals passed: March 16, 2018
Passport request: March 16, 2018
Applicant country: India

We have got the request to submit the original passport and I was wondering if anyone can please help with the steps ahead. Upon checking, I found a VFS office in Ahmadabad (India) however on their website, there's an option to submit passport in-person or through a representative. My question:

Can we not send passport to VFS via courier? If we can, how do we make payment for their service charges and return courier services?

We do have someone in Ahmadabad who can go in person but he's not an authorized representative as I appointed myself (sponsor) as authorized person. Is it possible to change this by providing an updated representative form? If so, how do i do that and how long does it take to get the record updated before he can go with my mom's passport?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Couriers, including Blue Dart/FedEx, will not accept the passport.

In short:
This option is not doable. You'll need to authorize someone to submit her passport to the Ahmedabad VAC + to pay the VFS fees, etc

It doesn't matter that you are the authorized representative for the application.

Here, you must authorize someone to submit your mom's passport i.e. s/he must take a letter of authorization (plain, typed, signed by your mom and yourself) + proof of his/her identity + the passport request letter + pay the VFS fees + can opt/pay for the stamped passport to be couriered to your mom's residence
