Hi All,
My friend who is a Canadian citizen and has his own consulting and recruiting company in Toronto, is looking to explore options to bring his recently widowed sister(early thirties) and her kids (son -11, daughter -3) from India to Canada. His brother in law passed away just last month.
He wants to know if he can do it by one of the following two options :
1. By offering a job to his sister, in his company and then file for her work visa and her kids visas.
2. By enrolling his sister in an educational program in some university in Toronto, but he is not sure if she will be allowed to bring her kids with her on a student visa.

Please let me know if there is any other option by which it can be accomplished.

Thanks in advance for the response, hoping to resolve this issue soon, as the family is already dealing with a big tragedy.

Regards,
Sulabh.

1. He needs to obtain an approved LMIA in addition to offering her a job. Depending on the skill level of the job, she may be able to apply to bring her children too (this may or may not be approved).
2. Same as above - her children's TRV may or may not be approved.

Thanks a lot!
So do you mean, she can't bring her kids along when she lands in Canada? Will she have to land first(either via LMIA or Student visa) and then apply for her kids?
I wonder if there is a way by which she can bring them WITH HER when she lands!

Thanks,
Choco.

She can take the children with her when she comes to Canada if the children are able to secure TRVs. What none of us can tell you is if the TRVs will be approved.
