So I sent in my husbands PR application over a week ago and I cannot stop worrying. Haha. I feel like I'm over analyzing everything about my application now that it's gone.

Has anyone on here had a successful SA without including an option C printout? I had not been working last year and therefor did not file taxes ( which I should have anyways but was out of country). I included a letter for not giving them an option c but am worried it's not going to be enough! Ahhhhh. Do you think they would have sent it back to me by now if they are going to say I am missing info? It's been 9 days?

Has anyone here also not sent an option C and just letter from current employer?! I am now working a full time job.

Thanks for any help, I'd love to stop worrying.

Usually they do not require income proof for the spousal sponsorship. As for the Option C - I guess you need to file taxes even if you did not work or had any income.
Have you provided any information about your financial status for last year with your application at all?

I simply hadn't done my taxes for the past 2 years when I filed my application. (yes, very bad!)

Anyway, I included my T4's and a letter of explanation that I was in the process of filing my taxes. As long as you provide the reasons and give as much information as you can you should be fine.

I hope I'm just over thinking. The document checklist even says " if you do not provide this printout, provide an explanation on a separate sheet of paper" . I also know that income is not a requirement for spousal sponsorship. Ugh, I just want everything to be ok!!

Has anyone been successful with not including the option c?

Yep I was. I was approved as a sponsor in less then 1 month and we have our Decision made on Ecas for my husband so seems everything was fine without sending my Option C.

My husband asked for his option c a total of 5 times and we never received it. We sent in a letter from his employer and a letter why the printout was not included. He was approved without it. We are now in the decision made phase.

Thanks everyone, hopefully I'll be able to stop worrying! Let's hope SA happens quickly for me, and anyone else waiting for it.

Has anyone ever actually had a problem or been denied SA? For what reason

We are in the same situation, my husband haven't filed his taxes for even longer and now it's taking him too much time to get all the papers and slips together to file, and it's the only hold up for us to apply. Was you approved as a sponsor yet? We were thinking of doing the same but not sure if they accept that as an explanaition

It was fine for me. As I was abroad I simply typed up a letter and had my boss verify that I was working abroad. I also used this to support the case of returning to Canada.
