Option C print out

hi all,

My girlfriend who is a canadian citizen was asked to provide an option C print out as per our application to Sponsor. We have been told that if we are not including the option C print out that we should write a letter explaining why we aren't. We were wondering if this letter would suffice or do we need to elaborate more?

I have not enclosed an option C print out as part of our application to sponsor. I have not resided in Canada since July 22nd 2013. Having lived in Ireland for over 2 years now I do not have a recent option C print out."

If you and your partner were already common-law partners before moving to Ireland, I would ask for the most recent OpC and send that (because it says "common-law"). If not, then I would give a little bit more detail (e.g. Why are you in Ireland? Why didn't you file your income tax return?) The more details you add the more genuine your reasons sound, so I would make the letter a bit longer.

my husband was in s. korea for almost 2 years so he phoned his accountant how his international income works for Canadian tax
and we sent recent (not previous year) option c and explained our situation.

I sent copies of my last 2 paycheck stubs, and the previous years joint tax return from the states.
