opening a Bank account

Can someone suggest a bank for mw to open an account? WHich of the canadian banks have an offer for newcomers? Any ideas? I would prefer a bank that does not chage an account maintenance fee, even if I need to maintain some balance in the account. Please come up with your ideas.

I just opened a Bank account with TD Canada TRust. Its Infinity account. meaning you can have as many transaction as you like and you need to keep minimum Balance of CDN$ 3000 to avoid paying Cd$12.95 P.M. Hope this suffice

Don't forget to mention the "Scene" card that allows one to at least have some fun in between the lines when looking for jobs etc to grab a movie or for some good family quality time.
