@ ying888 and jusbelle- give me some inputs or pointers that will be the content of the letter. i will try to construct a letter, we have to start it as ealry as possible. where are you from guys? if i can make the letter, i will readily send it to you guys! write all the names who are interested thanks and god bless us! this waiting time cause lots of misunderstanding especially between our spouses i hope they can help us with that, because if we are just going with the floe , they thought that it is okay for us that they can do whatever they want so it is not bad that we speak up right guys?

We should let as many as possible live-in caregivers join in so that can get immigration's attention . not only writing letters but also trying to find more support from all over the country . I think there are still many nice people would like to care about us . Please refer to the rules changed on April 1st , 2010 , I have been thinking to find some associations to help us , stand for us .

before writing lettes , we should discuss it more and make sure we extremely need the government care about us , the health and mental health of both of us and our children. god bless us.

mga kababayan ask ko lang kung paano mag apply ng OPEN WORK PERMIT yung mr ko kasi skilled worker siya sa new brunswick paano ba yung procedure... may selected place lang ba para mag apply ng OWP? thanks

@ondang2 -i am not sure pero pwedi mu check yung whole procedure sa www.cic.gc.ca ! god bless!

Your first hurdle is getting a TRV from the Philippines. Once you are able to get a visa, you can apply for the OWP at the POE once here, or send your app to CPC-Vegreville. Submit your husband's WP, your marriage certificate (to show relationship).

job_seeker,
dapat TRV first before we can apply for OWP?

so if we apply for TRV from the Philippines, we will be assessed using the same criteria as a visitor and not as a worker with valid WP?

Do you already have a WP?

my husband does, he got provincial nomination thru job offer.

will the process be apply for TRV first (as a visitor), then apply for OWP once in Canada?

@rubyalabar- do you mind me asking if how your husband got the job offer? pls help so that my husband can apply thanks!

he applied in the philippines in one of POEA's accredited recruitment firms, and got accepted. after 1 year as TFW, he was offered a permanent full time job by his employer, he used this to apply for provincial nomination. When he was nominated by Saskatchewan, we then applied to CIC for PR under provincial nominee program.

reason why i'm asking about OWP for the spouse of a TFW is because the immigration process is taking so long and we want our family together already. but i am hesitant about applying for TRV as i do not have "strong ties to my home country" as is required by CIC when applying for visitor visa. wondering also what would be the process for TRV for my 5-year old daughter.

but i guess we just have to wait it out, instead of spending money on TRV application.

So it's just a matter of waiting for the PR application under PNP. Application is for TRV (visitor, worker, student); the same form, you choose others and specify to work. The onus is on you to prove it is temporary in nature considering you have a PR application (with your husband as the principal, under PNP). Or has it already been submitted, I mean the PNP application?

PR is already in process. so i guess because of that it will be harder to prove that the TRV is temporary in nature?

You can explore dual intent but our Kababayan officers are more stringent than their foreigner counterparts.

oh?
anyway, thanks for the advice! :D pag iisipan ko ng mabuti what i should do and what reason I should say in case I do apply for TRV.
