Hi there,
seeking a clarification on some information on my application for permanent residence under spouse in Canada class
I have rec'd a letter (today) saying that i have met the eligibility req'ment and i have to supply a medical from a doctor in canada, which i am about to do...(i did the medical exam in my own country and the results were forwarded to the canadian embassy there)....the letter goes on to say "...you may apply for an open work permit, which will allow you to work in the occupation and location of your choice."....
however, when i called today to get clarificaton on the issue, the agent told me that it was inadvisable to proceed with the owp application until it was confirmed that my medical forms had completely processed and been received (1-3 mths)...he did say that if i applied for one right away the application would be rejected and my fees would not be refunded...
has anyone else heard of this happening to them or been thru it?
