Open work permit - work for company in Pakistan while staying in Canada

I'm currently located and working in Pakistan and will apply for open work permit. Does Canada open work permit allows me to continue working remotely for my current employer while I'm staying in Canada on temporary visa?

Yes, you can do this. I assume you qualify for an open work permit since your spouse is in Canada on a study permit or work permit.

Thanks for quick response @scylla. Yes we will apply togather for work permit and open work permit. So that means if I receive a letter from my employer that they will allow me to continue employment while I'm in Canada that will allow me to work and also show ties to my home country?

I'm not sure it's a good idea to include this in your OWP application or not. I don't know if IRCC will see this as evidence of ties.
