Hi,

I'm arriving to Canada on January 16th, 2017 and I'm going to apply for Open Work Permit based on my Work Permit Support Letter thanks to sucessfull nomination by BC PNP. Does anybody know how long is this work permit going to be valid for? :'(

Btw my job offer is for "unlimited" permanent time, if it helps...

Thank you!

as far as i know you do not get a "Open Work Permit" based on your Work Permit Support Letter

you can get probably this Work Permit
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/territories-provinces.asp

do you have any work permit right now (2016) ?? ??

If you don't already have a work permit, then it is not advisable to come to Canada.

I do not agree with you.
If Anford have all required document's including Support Letter from BC-PNP than its not a problem to come to Canada

Just speaking from personal experience. I am in a similar situation, but it has not worked out for me. If I had my time again, I would have waited.

what was the reason that it didn't work out for you??

I have provincial nomination and a job offer, yet my work permit was refused due to insufficient evidence of being LMIA exempt.

did you had a "Support Letter R204(c)" from your nominating province?
