Open work permit Under Public Policy Timelines

you applied study permit ..I don’t think you can hold both study permit and open work permit .. I am not an expert ..an expert can give you more explanation

I called IRCC before I apply for the study permit, the representative said that I can have both. Did the representative give me a wrong information?

My open work permit application got refused today.
It said I don't have a valid work permit that would expire within 4 months.
However, my PGWP is going to expire on Jun 28, 2021
I submitted my application online on Feb 22, and I got replied on Mar 22.
I am confused that is that because I submitted my application too early and got rejected?

Is there anyway to check more details why my application got refused?
I feel so frustrating now.

They were right to refuse your application, 4 months from 22nd of Feb is June 22nd 2021 , you can easily google that or count them manually, you should have applied your application after February 28th, 2021.You can still reapply for the same with a fresh application

Processing time is 58 days- They are currently processing march 1-10th applications. Whereas I applied on Feb 6th-No response yet

Applied: 1st Feb along with restoration. I havent heard anything yet. Not sure why is it taking so long.

Hey Guys, My application has been on "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." since Thursday evening (25-Mar-21). Is this unusual since I see everyone here getting a ghost update and approved the next day?
Anyone else experience this?

Anyone in this group or your friends outside this group, applied on January 27th 2021 and still waiting for the approval? I don't know why these people are taking so much of time to approve the applications!! Btw now processing time for online work permit inland changed to 66days.

Guys I need help, I was entitled to a 3 year PGWP but because of passport expiry I was given only 1 year. Now I have a new passport and my PGWP is expiring in June. Am I eligible to apply under this policy or should I apply on paper to extend my PGWP?

Help! I don't want to risk getting my application refused.

I have the same situation before, due to my passport expiration, I only got 1 year PGWP in 2018. After I received a new passport in 2019, I am able to extend my PGWP for 2 more years. You need to explain in the letter that you only receive 1 year PGWP because the expiry date of the old passport, and why you are eligible for the extension. If you apply under this policy, the maximum you will get is only 18 months extension. However, the process under this policy seems pretty fast, my one only took 9 days after submission, but not sure how long it will take for the PGWP extension.

Also 1 more difference. The extension of PGWP was added 2 years on top of my first PGWP. However, the new open work permit I got approved is counted based on 3 days after my submission, which will expire in 18 months started from this March.
