Open Work Permit through TR to PR public policy

Hi,
I have submitted my TR to PR appl. on May 6 at 7:30pm EST. And now my work permit is expiring on Dec 19. So i wanted to apply for work permit extension thro temporary public policy. While applying, should i have to selct option for ‘Restore my status as Worker’ ?? Please clear this doubt for me.
