Open work permit for nominee

I recently got nominated, bc pnp employer driven. My work permit is expiring soon, I wonder if I can apply for open work permit instead of close work permit? in my certificate it says no restrictions..

As far as I'm aware of, you wont be able to apply an open work permit. You need your former employer to inform BC PNP office, and your new employer willing to sponsor you as well and continue become your sponsor for your BC PNP.

Thanks mate! Just one question. Can I go at the border to extend my work permit. Im from visa required country, my Trv is already expired but My wp is still valid up to april 14?
