Hi there,
So we're finally applying for permanent residency after a few years of messing around with bits of paper.
I know that there's currently a pilot scheme running where inland applications for spousal PR can also apply for an open work permit and be approved for the WP w/in 4 months - my question is whether this is the case if your application doesn't include the completed medical...
Let me explain.
I currently have visitor status for 6 months (starting beginning March).
I had my immigration medical a couple of days before receiving visitor status, and had slightly high BP.
I had a repeat BP taken two weeks later that was also slightly high (white coat syndrome I'm sure) and was referred to a cardiologist.
I met with the cardiologist a couple of days ago and was sent for an ECG and 24 BP monitoring, and am now waiting to receive results back.
Because of this the medical is holding everything else up.
I know that normally you can submit the medical after the rest of your application but I really can't afford to jeopardise the chance of getting an open WP within 4 months as finances are becoming tight...
Rephrasing to make sense - If I apply for PR today without my medical and submit medical later, will I still receive WP within 4 months of today?
Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!
