Is somebody still waiting for SC to put their info on Open LMO? I'm waiting for 6 weeks already, for Alberta :\ Is this being so long because of strikes or what?
That's too long, it took only 5 business days in my case experience in Alberta.johnny123 said:Is somebody still waiting for SC to put their info on Open LMO? I'm waiting for 6 weeks already, for Alberta :\ Is this being so long because of strikes or what?

Hi, not yet :-( I'm also frustrated, together with my employer. I'm at the end of 8th week already, or to be more precise at 38th business day. I also think it's cause of the strike.shadow123 said:Hi johnny123,
I have exactly the same problem. I am still waiting for SC put my name on the LMO list since 25 Days, for Alberta. I am totally frustrated :-( My consultant thinks that this could take so long because of the strike action and the flood.....
Have you received your confirmation from SC already??
Greetings
oh my god.... it is so unbelievable!!! my employer is also very frustrated! I can´t believe it, the whole LMO application was faster then this procedure, but how long will it takes to get the work permit? I have to apply for it at the visa office in Vienna, usually it takes 2 months... but because of the strike, may be it will take 4 months.... damn I am really sick of waiting and it is seems it will never end :-(johnny123 said:Hi, not yet :-( I'm also frustrated, together with my employer. I'm outside Canada. If you are from visa exempt country, and probably you are since your embassy is in Vienna, you don't have to apply for a work permit at the embassy, but instead you can apply directly at the port of entry ie. the airport in Canada.shadow123 said:oh my god.... it is so unbelievable!!! my employer is also very frustrated! Are you in Alberta right now?
I have never thought about the option to apply for a work permit at the port of entry... Yes I am from a visa exempt country. My job offer is under skilled level B, so my husband will get an open work permit if I get my WP. Do you know if my husband will get it at the port of entry too? Or should he apply for it at the embassy?johnny123 said:I'm outside Canada.
