Open (unnamed) LMO processing time

Hello,

My post grad work permit expiring soon. My employer is planning to apply LMO for me. I am in Montreal. How long does it take? do we have any processing time chart?
And
Now after getting LMO, can i apply for work permit both me and my husband who is on the open work permit which he got depending on me.
so can i apply both for of us together?? or do i have to wait for my work permit and then apply for him.

LMO time frames are most unpredictable at the moment. They can vary between 3-4 weeks to several months. Reasons are new and stricter policies for temp workers, cancellation of accelerated LMO's plus a few more things. Your employer has to have posted the job for a while which they couldn't fill with Canadians. This is also among the requirements of LMO. But i believe being in Canada would help with getting it relatively faster.

Yes, you can apply for your spouse open work permit together with your primary work permit.

I finally got the response from service canada!!! It took 32 business days!!!!!! Unbelievable! Hope you got yours to.

Hi, glad to hear that! My employer spoke with them and they said my name is on LMO now. -they still have to fax them the confirmation letter.
