Hello Dear, thank you for your reply.Not in British Columbia. Status of one parent is required to enroll student to School through DS-Boards.
This is correct as per IRCC guidelines that the status of one parent is required, however, some school might ask for a study permit even then. I will check with the intended school in this case, if they require a study permit, I will apply post-reaching Canada as the application filled from within Canada processes much faster.
But assuming the school does not ask for study permit, and accept my kid to school, she will be on a visit visa (valid for 6 months only/per stay).
1. Does this mean that she will have to exit every 6 months and re-enter to continue her studies?
2. Or IRCC/border officer can give her a study permit which will be valid as per my student visa?
Pls advice.
