Merci Paul.

Not really. This program is especially suited for those that lost their points somewhere. It could be a bit higher age (35+), or just CBL 7+ from both but no CBL 9. Or spouse with lower education level.

All that brings you instantly down to 400 and less.
So that what this program is for. Anyway good luck everybody.

Why do I have a feeling that French should be set as a first language for that?

It was a hidden requirement for oinp and maybe a hidden requirement for EE as well. I hope they say explicitly if that is the case.

If I analyze the news properly, this is an attempt from IRCC to maintain the cutoff above 400 points. IRCC is selecting in the recent draws +3500 candidates with a lower score almost reaching 400. If they continue at this pace they will go below. This is a good news for bilingual like us. but I agree with Vensak that it won't change anything to Ontario Provincial Nominee Program. In fact, IRCC is aware of other streams and they don't really want to upset any province.

As I said, this is just my analysis so don't take it too seriously

There is another thing. With such big draw, there will be app. 45-50% of failure rate (draw declined, expired or application rejected) from those. Either that or they will have to cut severely future draws.

Totally agree.

Hi there,

Has anyone received a recent progress update? Looks like things have stagnated again :(!

Hi everyone,
No everything is very slow on the PR front, but I had a surprise. I am eligible for a working holiday visa, so a 24 months open work visa. Do you think I should accept it? I was thinking I would get PPR about July, and move this summer to Ontario. Do I need to take this visa? And if I do, should I inform CIC?
Thanks for your advice

Yes it's a waiting game! I'm a bit surprised that Rover's status is still 'submitted' after more than 2 months! Mine was submitted on 6Feb and changed to 'assessment' around 10March.

Let's hope for it!
