anyone in this thread who has no ties to canada or Ontario?

you have to mention your intention to settle in Ontario and can give proof of ties with Ontario. What you guys to do if you have no ties to Ontario or Canada and applying from outside Canada?

i have the same question someone please enlighten us, i have never been to canada but i need to show ties to ontario, the aplication guide says we can attach a letter of intent describing why do we want to live in ontario,

please advise

how important is to show bank statements for past 6 months (not applying under CEC).....i have the required funds for 3 months only.....please guide
Are you applying under FSW ? I would suggest that bank statements are of utmost importance, gov't wants to know how you are going to support yourself/family once you arrive in Canada. You must for this purpose show 6 months bank statement.

Just as an example when I applied for study permit to Canada, I had to show 2 yrs of bank statement covering 100% of the cost and my visa was denied the first time stating "You do not have sufficient funds to support your application". Then I had to collect additional documentation to show 200% of the study cost only after that visa was granted.

Hi let me answer one question that troubles lot of applicants.

For fields which are N/A to you, you have to keep it blank and once when everything is ready and you print the form for signature,

Please fill-up N/A for the fields which are not applicable to you and which you cannot print in the PDF. Use blue or black pen.

Thanks ;D

I have already completed my application form and collecting my documents.

so diff accounts is fine?
I and my spouse work in Ontario and have an income of $6-7K together monthly
Can we show both of us Account details
also I am getting money transferred from India to show the POF. What are the docs I need to provide with that?
You can show both your account & your wife's account details and provide a letter of explanation stating that the final amount is greater than the LICO amount and this would be used towards your expenses jointly. Also since you are working you can show your income statements along with that.
Getting a money transfer is fine as long as you can give a letter of explanation from a sponsor stating "I __________ is sponsoring my son/daughter/nephew/niece etc... for a Sum of ________. This money is intended for personal use towards personal expenses and is not to be returned..... "
Not the exact wordings but something similar. No offense, but large amounts transfer are flagged by the Canada Revenue Agency and the Security services, you wouldn't want to be in a situation like that, hope you know what I mean. :)

Thanks Dilbert. This is annoying requirement as it is a paper application so they dont want more stress to read all the details so they are asking to mark N/A for fields which are not applicable to you. Otherwise if it was online they never demand such things. In online forms this type of fields becomes grey so you cannot fill any details.

poor system. still working on paper apps. :p :p

Hey Dilbert, I've got several :)

1. They stress on writing NA and not leave any blanks, what about under NOC Code, my occupation was "unemployed" and "student", should I leave the NOC field blank?

2. Should I add my current Masters study in Canada? To which date, today's? (because there's no "Present")

3. For education, should I provide the ECA with transcripts or ECA only? What about my wife's credentials?

4. My wife is currently doing a masters, the form asks for completed degrees, but should I add her enrollment? Same goes with mine?

5. I have my documents translated from my home country, notarized, but I now live in ON, should I still get them translated via ATIO?

6. Can I use a bank statement from my father willing to support me that's from 7-8 months ago?

Thanks a lot!
1) yes the NOC field will be blank
2) You must mention it in the Personal details timeline section. You cannot show any gaps. Cannot leave the "To Date" blank, specify an approximate future date for your course completion.
3) Section 3.2 of application guide regarding Documents for education does not say anything regarding transcripts, so I am not 100% sure, though I would suggest you still get a notarized copy of them just in case. That way if they ask for you, you wouldn't have to run around at the last minute.
4) I don't see where it says "the form asks for completed degrees" ? perhaps I need a new pair of glasses. :p
5) Not sure what ATIO is ? ???
6) If the letter from your father is not dated then yes you can use it, else you would need a current one, that means you would need your father's current bank statements as well showing that the amount exists in his account.

Hi,

I was doing a test run on filling up the application form, and noticed that the form asks for ALL the job experiences from past 10 years or since the age of 18. Is that correct? What did you fill in? Just the qualifying one year experience?

I had part time jobs before my current job (working more than a year).

Yup, the other annoying thing is that the form was made keeping CEC candidates in mind and not FSW. There are a lot of candidates here with FSW specific queries as well.

thats one more issue which i never thought as I am CEC candidate so form looked very friendly to me asking all Canadian visit details.... :p :p :p :p

They needs some improvement for sure. requires some in depth analysis before inventing new categories. Looks like they are in a hurry to bump their bank accounts with lots of fees. just joking.... :p :p :p

THanks Dilbert!!

3 & 4) it's in the application checklist:
III. Education/Training/Qualifications
Certified true copies of applicant's university degree(s), college diploma(s) and/or occupational certificates *
Original transcripts in a sealed envelope from educational institution (Canadian programs/degrees only)

5) ATIO: http://www.atio.on.ca/
these are certified translators in ON.

6) he can give me a new letter of support, but the bank statement is from Oct 31, 2014 to April 2015.

Hi Dilbert,

Question for you:)

"Please list any visits you have made to Canada in the last ten years": I have come to Canada in 2013 as a visitor and obtained the work permit after three months and never went back to my country. What should I say here? Thanks.

Sorry I should have rephrased my words. pt3 & 4 are in the application checklist but it's only for Canadian Degree, doesn't say anything regarding FSW. So can't say. Maybe refer to the application guide and documentation checklist for FSW and follow that process.

5). Not sure about this one again, perhaps call Opportunity Ontario. See what they advise.
6). Definitely you need updated letter of support from your dad. Maybe keep the existing bank statements and get for the month of May 2015 aswell if possible.

Hello
I visited Canada as a visitor in the past and as such got a UCI number. I am now outside Canada. While applying for Ontario PNP, there is a column:

1. For applicants currently in Canada (a copy of your Work Permit, Study Permit, Temporary Resident Visa, and/or any other Canadian immigration document or entry stamp must be provided with your application package)

What shall I fill over here as I am presently not in Canada ?

2. Please provide the Unique Client Identifier number (UCI) issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, also known as a client ID number.

Shall I put the UCI number which I got when I applied for Visitor Visa ?

3. Expiration Date of Current Citizenship and Immigration Canada Document.

Visa expired in 2014. Shall I put that date here ?

Or all of these question specific to people presently in Canada ?

Your help would be appreciated.

from date & To date for the visit. Duration should be 3 months
then from date & To date for work.

The "To Date" for visit/visitor visa should match the "From Date" for work/work permit documentation. The point being, whatever information you state in the application form or EE profile you need to back it up with solid evidence and link all of them together. There is no penalty for additional documentation provided, however penalty for incomplete documentation might delay the process overall. That's my suggestion. :)
