Hi,

I have applied for OPNP during the month of February under International Student Category with Job Offer Stream. My Employer pre-screen application was approved on 26th May 2011. I had sent my Nominee application with all my documents for PNP approval on June 3rd 2011.

My PGWP was valid till 12th Sept 2011. Since I was working with this employer for last 16 months, On 16th Sept 2011 Ontario Opportunities has asked few documents and also proof my current status as my PGWP expired on 12th Sept 2011. I have applied for restoration and extension of my WP with all supporting documents to CIC. Will there be any effect on my Provincial Nominee Application as my visa got expired and have filed for restoration.

Please advise.

I know it has been a long time but I am currently in a similar situation as yours except for the fact that my PGWP expires mid-August 2014. I had received my Employer pre-screen application and filed my Nominee Application on 24th April. I received my file number and was asked for supporting documents. The supporting documents were submitted on 20th June 2014. You said you had applied for restoration and extension of Work Permit. Is there a way I could stay in Status and continue to work, in case my WP expires before I receive my Ontario PNP certification? Perhaps I can just file for work Permit extension without PNP certificate? Any help/advice will be appreciated.
