Hello Guys,

I submitted my Application (NOC 2174) on 30th July 2017.
ADR submitted on 12th September 2017 and since then my Status is in DIP.
Yesterday I enquired for status update on ontarionominee@ontario.ca, received below response.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your email,
Please note that the file referenced below has not been finalized yet.

Processing is taking longer than usual due to the large number of applications in our inventory.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) appreciates your patience as it works diligently to process the high-volume of applications received. You will be contacted should further information/documentation be required or once the decision will be made.

Please note that if you are in Canada, it is your responsibility to remain in legal status throughout the time while your application is being processed by our program

Thank you for your interest in the OINP

All the best everyone, Hope for the best.

Do u think phone answering guy is the one giving nomination
Even if it's the secretary, the person could be doing something to help get the processing done instead of spending time talking to people who are impatient. There are some valid reasons to call. But in general, a little patience could prevent many calls.

Has anyone considered that perhaps it would be better not to call so they can have the time to do their jobs instead of answer phone calls?

Look everyone is concerned about their status. I personally have called them twice once for acknowledgement of my documents and once for the status. Most of us have tried checking status via emails or call and nothing is wrong in that.
Yes calling them again and again is not right or makes no sense. But they need to come with a meaningful reply initially some of the applicants were told they are processing applications in the way we get, then they replied that they have a backlog. Give one straight answer why a applicant is in decisions phase since 2-2.5 months ?

And most of us are waiting here since a while now so it is natural that people will call or try to get in touch with them!

No one is being impatient here, if that would be the case would have not waited for 80 days.

And one more thing I would like to highlight here it is not the senior officer who is answering the call, it is the operator. Our applications are assessed by the senior officers. So calls made to them are answered by the operator and not the senior officer so no one is holding anyone from doing their jobs.

I personally feel that calling once or twice is ok but calling them again and again will not help anyone

By the way
Whats your timeline ?
