I need some help from you.
As you can see my time line above i have just recently applied for PR through paper based application.
And as we all know processing time for that is 15 months as of now.
I got my PGWP ( post graduate work permit) in June 2014 for 3 years which expires in June, 2017 and i need to renew it in-order to be able to keep working and stay in country.
So my question to you is how did you get your work permit extended?
Please walk me through the whole process. I really appreciate your help.

I haven't done my extension yet as I am waiting for an approved nomination, however, I know that you can apply for a "Bridge Open Work Permit" (BOWP) on the basis of your nomination, provided that your PGWP is expiring within the next four months.Harshkp said:Hi Everyone

Nomination usually comes with a support letter for BOWP, but i am not sure if they only give it to people whose PGWP is expiring soon. You can also use your PR AOR for BOWP when you get it.

I graduated in December 2013, so I technically had about 4 months after we applied for Pre-Screening before my 2 year period ends.
My lawyers said that ontario immigration will honour requests if the delay was on their part, which it was, since the formal processing time for pre-screen application was 3 months at that time.

Which i do since i applied under international student with job offer category.
On my nomination approval under "Restriction on Employment" it says, "Yes, restricted to the Ontario employer - my employer's name".
Is there any other way of extending the work permit?
In that case, you may be eligible for an "Employer Specific Work Permit". Let's see if somebody with more knowledge than me applies to your post, otherwise you may ask this question somewhere else. I would also suggest to email ontario immigration and ask if there is a possibility of extending your work permit based on your nomination, if so, how? They are usually quick to reply.Harshkp said:
