Quick update. I got file number & medical request yesterday, exactly 30 days after submitting my application to CIC.

I am currently doing my Masters and hope to graduate at the end of Summer. I am planning to apply at end of August under OPNP (masters steam without job). I have a few questions, please share your views.

1. Is it necessary that the required fund should be in the bank account for more than 6 months prior to the application?
2. If the required funds are there there just 4/5 months prior to application, is it a problem?
3. Is it required that the fund stays "as it is" during the total nomination process?
4. The supporting documents i.e. Official transcripts and degree completion paper is better send directly from the university?
3. Is it better to apply after getting PGWP?

Kindly share your ideas.

For 1, 2 and 3: I understand there's no problem if you have the fund for 4/5 months, but its always better to provide an explanation. The nomination process takes at least 4 months and OPNP may ask you to provide bank statement one more time after you submit your application.

4. Normally universities provide transcripts in a sealed and signed envelop. You could include that in your application package, or you could ask your university to send directly, which ever is convenient for you.

5. Again it depends on your timing. If your study permit is expiring soon then PGWP would give you time. Also you would need PGWP anyway to work after you graduate.

Just got an email from PNP saying that Purolator was not able to deliver my package due to problem in address, either update address or collect personally.

Any Idea, what will be in that package... PNP Nomination??? ;D

Well I just received mine in mail today ;D, it had the nomination certificate, letter of support, another letter with a welcome package CD.
Time line: Applied as Masters Graduate without job offer ( Although I am working, it doesnt make much difference i guess)

documents received : 22 April 2014
date on Certificate: 9 May 2014
Received certificate : 13 May 2014

Just had question about the WP application, is it faster to apply online, if yes than i guess we just have to scan all documents like Passport, original WP, Visa, PNP certificate and Support Letter from PNP; and attach with the online application package.

can somebody guide me on the WP application steps after you get the PNP and Support letter?

Got the PNP Ontario (Master Stream) Nomination certificate today... :-* :D
Time Line:
Application Submitted : 21 January 2014
File number and additional document required: 19 April, 2014
Additional documents submitted : 29 April, 2014
Approval Certificate issued : 13 May, 2014
Received today.................................................................

Guidance is required for next step... please help, specially about police certificate... I have to take from Pakistan as well as from Saudi Arabia :o :o :o :o
