Cant agree more. End of May would be sweet! And it makes sense as well. If they've already reviewed our files, finished initial processing and then received additional documents if required, logicale there's no point holding our files and creating backlogs, as they have just got the nomination numbers for this year.

My timeline: Submitted my PNP Ontario Masters Graduate application on 24 April 2014.

That's awesome!! Congrats!! BTW when did you submit your application to CIC? I see that we received our PNP certificate on the same day.

Mine arrived at CIC on March 30th...so I guess I'll have to wait for a couple of days...They haven't cashed my credit card yet...

Just to share my timeline,

I submitted my application (PNP Master students) today (April 28, 2014). I delivered my package to the office myself. The lady there reviewed my package in front of me. After she made sure that I included all documents required, she gave me a copy of the first page of my application (with stamp on it) as a receipt, and told me that I will received further instructions.

Fingers crossed!

I too delivered the package myself, same steps were followed by the lady there.

Do you know how quickly they process the applications now? Feels like that applicants usually received their file number 2 months after their application was received.

It depends on whether they request further documents or not. Moreover, there was last year's backlog, so things have been slow.

Are we supposed to receive file number before additional docs request? Or, doc request before file number?

As far as I know this is the usual procedure.
1) You send the application - Post or delivery in person
2) The date your application is complete is taken as your application date ( Example, You sent your application and it reached on 20th February but your University transcripts reached on 22nd February, your application date is Feb 22nd)
3) The application is reviewed and a File Number is Generated - This is where you get the first communication - The officer who reviews the file requests additional documents, sends a receipt in mail.
4) If additional documents are not requested the application is reviewed by another officer in a weeks time and decision is reached
5) Nomination certificate is sent after a weeks time in Purolator

I agree with bethanasame...just wanted to add it might be slightly different based on the stream you applied under (w/ job)! Nevertheless the process is the same given they haven't maxed the nomination limits.
