Buddy i am sorry to say but i dont think that PEI has any interest in your NOC otherwise they would have asked you to send your documents along with the forms for PNP nomination to them through email.

I'd suggest you to make new EE profile and hope for PT from Ontario.
Hi Rafzy,

I agree. But i meant something else. Please reply following points:-

1- I meant can I submit a new EOI with my new profile number? As I will withdraw my current profile and even if PEI late considers my first EOI, the profile won't be there. What do you say about this?

2- Does Ontario have kinda regular schedule like CIC to select people?
Do they select fortnightly?

3- Since they admitted there is a system glitch, that means programme is still open since I cannot see any updates as to whether they have closed the programme for 2015.Am I correct?

Hello Gents/Ladies,

I'm new to this forum which I found while trying to find guidance for few questions I have regarding the EE and OINP-FSWP:

1- My "expected" CRS score would be 406, in effect, I'll be hoping to avail a PNP - I'm only waiting for recipient of ECA report to fire my EE profile away, expected next Mon/Tues; will I be VERY ambitious to look for OINP PT within few days of EE profile submission?

2- Coming next August, my CRS will drop by 10 pts; through which point of the process I need to maintain the 400pts mark? in other words, when the CRS score becomes irrelevant? Am I too ambitious to think the process could conclude before August 2016?

3- since graduation I've been in many jobs, should I list all those? or only the last 9 years will suffice for which I availed the reference letters exactly as per the format needed for OINP? will there be any missed out points/grades for not providing the reference letters for previous jobs?

4- I'm a wireless networks (GSM/3G/LTE) pre-sales engineer by profession with B.Sc. communications engineering + MBA, I contacted NOC twice for assistance to find my NOC, first time they proposed to use :NOC code 2171 - Information systems analysts and consultants, however I am not an IT engineer!

waiting few days and asking again, they suggested: NOC code 6221 - Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade (technical sales representative): , which is class "B" NOC, does it make any difference "0" "A" or "B", I wonder?

IF I was to chose, the closest "honest" match is: NOC code 2147 (Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)) which I think they never proposed to use since it seems to "may" require P.Eng. licensing as per their website requirements, since I never worked in Canada, I'm not licensed by any province, my question is: can I use it nevertheless? I read in OINP guide that only those currently working in Canada and applying for OINP (CEC) need to be licensed, does the same applies for FSWP? which one of the 3 NOCs should I use?

5- I read somewhere on the forum that OINP will "pause" and not make new PTs during Dec/Jan, does this apply to OINP-FSWP?

really appreciate your help in advance and praying for the best of luck for all.

Hi everyone, can you please share your experience regarding this topic. If you withdrew your profile and recreated a new one, did anyone receive a PT from Ontario? How long did it take?

Also, after you created your new profile, is your old profile still in your account? I currently still access my old profile, will that go away soon?

All your old profiles would stay in your account as status withdrawn.
Recreate new profile and update your jobbank account with new validation code and EE number. When new profile status shows as open, you good to go. dont forget to select all province or ontario in where you intend to leave in Canada question. I found out that ontario also sends invitation after CIC draw, because this happened with me too. BTW which NOC?

Thank you for your reply, I did recreate and update my jobbank too, I was just curious if the old profile will disappear or if it is stuck just for me. My profile status is Open, I recreated everything on Saturday, and I cant wait to hear something positive.
I am NOC 0213 mainly, but I have some experience in 2175 as well. What NOC are you applying as?

Yeah, thats not really an easy task. I never really understood the difference between a Programmer, and a software "Engineer". They make it sound like you're building Facebook or Excel all on your own and you have to plan and "engineer" your code. Whatever..

Anyway, I really think it will depend on the job that you have now, and what you worked before. For example if you have a reference letter from a previous job that says that you're a "software architect", you have to go with 2173. Do you see what I mean?

You have to prove that you are doing what you are saying. What do you do, by the way?

So why are you confused?

It makes perfect sense that you apply as (2173 Software engineers and designers)

Some people say that it's regularized and need license. and also some duties match with 2174. So got confused. I have to make my own reference letter.

As far as I know, Software/Web work is not regulated in Canada. My advice is to not get caught on the technicalities. If you find yourself that you are doing the job duties of a Software Engineer, then you have to present a reference letter that states that. I have a couple of colleagues who hold the title of "Software Engineer", and all they do basically is work on the components of our proprietary CMS. So, my advice is to stick to the 2173, and get ready.
