I currently have health insurance for Ontario.
I will be moving to Montreal and I would like to know how I can switch my health insurance from Ontario to Montreal (the procedure) and how long this would take.

In other posts, you say that you have only lived in Canada for 50 days in the past 5 years. Therefore, even if you had OHIP at some point, you would have lost it years ago for being outside ON for that long. When you arrive in ON, there is a 3 month wait to get OHIP and you must be in ON for 5 out of your first 6 months, after that at least 6 months a year.

As a PR, you are of course allowed to move to Quebec. Upon arriving in Quebec, you should register for Quebec health care. You will get it after a 3 month waiting period.

If you move to any province other than ON, Quebec or BC, you will most likely be eligible for health care there right away as a PR moving from outside Canada. However, if you do this, make sure you stay in that province for at least 6 months before moving somewhere else. All provinces have the 6/12 months residency rule to be eligible for their health care and it has happened that a province decided that a person who moved away from the province after 5.5 months was retroactively not eligible and they billed that person for the health care they had paid for them.
