After 6 months of receiving the first AOR, I've finally received a mail from NDVO a couple of days ago. But I don't know whether it is an AOR or what. In the mail I've been asked to provide the following:

Medical
RPRF
US PCC

Employment Reference Letter: A letter of reference from your employer Complete
experience documents for PA :-> Why are they asking again? What should this refernce letter say. Do I need to send orignal experience documents?


Education diplomas/degrees: Education certificate/diploma/degree Complete edcuation
documents for PA :->Why are they asking again and do I need to send orignal experience documents?

Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel document All current and old
passports. :-> do I need to send passports now itself? It also does not say whether I need to send only for myself or I need to send for my dependents also.

All of these documents should be recieved by them in 1 1/2 month's time. Is this the normal format of these mails? Has anyone recieved such mails in the past? Can someone please help guide me about my above doubts?

Also, I'm living in US now and, from some discussion in the past on this forum, I remember it is not possible to send passport to India by courier. Is there anyone who has done this from US? Also where can I get the medicals done in US?

Its a good sign that they are asking for these documents, which means that your case is progressing towards completion.

You might have got this e-mail in this format :

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:
### UCI NUMBER ##### - LAST NAME, FIRST NAME
> Doc1 : Description

> Doc2 : Description

> Doc3 : Description

This means that these list of docs belong to the person who's name & UCI ( Unique Client Identification ) Number is mentioned above. So send these documents for all those people who are mentioned in this list. Regarding Passports, I believe they might require passports of every one who is included in your application , but you can send them an e-mail and ask about the same.

Even Srilanka office asked for these documents from me. They have serious database design issue, that is why they want copy of every document again and again, it seems they can't integrate their databases and want copy of these documents at every step.
Send an Employment letter from your current HR, which says that you are currently working with This company and your position title etc same kind of letter which you used for PNP nomination package . This letter from HR can be addressed to To Whomsoever it may concern. If you want you can send Copy of your later pay stub as well... You should also send the copies of experience letters from your previous employers as well.

I believe if they need originals they will ask for Original. Like they asked for Original IELTS & Copy of any post-secondary degrees/diplomas for yourself. I think they have not mentioned so you should Just send copy of these certificates. Even Srilanka office asked for these documents from me and sent notarized copies to them.

Srilanka visa office usually asks for Passport at last , they ask to submit this document at NDVO. I think NDVO might be asking for these documents in the begining as well. The real challenge is how to send passport to NDVO from USA. Another thing it might not be clear that even if you send your passport now, then for how long NDVO is going to keep this passport with them. People who are in Canada usually contact their local MP and then get their visa stamping in Canada Local Visa offices, You can try contacting CIC if your visa stamping can be done in embassy inside USA. Other forum members who experienced this issue can share their views on this matter.

Appreciate your reply. Yes I also feel that I need to send copies only.

Two major complications that I'm facing now are US Police Clearance and sending of Passports. Sending passports to India is not a problem as my wife and daughter can go to India along with my passport. But I don't know how long embassy will take to return passports. Also what do I need to do here as I may need passport in US also for identification purposes if required. Also, I don't know if canadian embassy will have any objection on me being present in USA and sending passport to India.

Another big problem is US PCC as FBI takes 5-6 weeks to provide PCC and I need to send PCC to embassy in 5-6 weeks. At the time of submitting the application, I was in India and did not have US stay for more than 6 months. My wife had stayed in US for more than 6 months but we did not have enough time to obtain the PCC along with application. I obtained US PCC for my wife after submitting the application. But PCC is already 9 months old and also my stay in US is more than 6 months now. So it has become another complication.

Has anyone faced any situation like above and can help guide?

I have been asked to submit passport and bank draft for right of PR fees in CAD. Do you know where i can get a bank draft in CAD done in Abu Dhabi?

I believe Al Fardan exchange used to do it but they stopped now.
I have account with NBAD but do they do bank draft in CAD?

Please request this information from those who have got a bank draft for Canadadone in the last few months in abu dhabi?

You may send this, Mention your File Number / UCI ( Unique Client Identification ) Number at the backside of this Draft so that its added to your file. But I am not sure if someone has sent this fees without Demand from NDVO. But in the Application Guide it somewhere mentions about paying RPRF upfront at the time of application along with Application Fees.

I sent my RPRF draft when srilanka office asked me to send draft to NDVO and asked me to send this RPRF fees payment reciept from NDVO to Srilanka visa office but till today I have not got this Reciept from NDVO. I even remember that Pradeesh( who started this thread ) never got this reciept from NDVO.

So its purely upto you if u wanna send your draft without demand or not. I sent my RPRF in June 2013 and I still do not have any decesion on my file and my application status is " Application Recieved in Dec 2012 ", I think case processing depends upon how complex your case is and other factors etc...

If you wanna call yourself CIC Call Centre from US then call +1-613-944-4000 and follow IVR menu options.

If you are running short of time then send an e-mail to CIC ( from where you got an e-mail for passport submission ) and ask them for extension of Documents / Passport submission time line. This time line extension will be helpful for you to plan your things accordingly. I know soon I am going to face this situation, but being in Canada I will try contacting local MP and will try if my stamping can be done in Canada.

But usually employers also cover additional insurance which covers medicines, dental, vision etc (depend on plan) and for this we need to contribute little portion (it depends on employer agreement)

Hello All,

Today I received communication from Srilanka embassy.

They are asking
1) RPRF to be paid at New delhi & receipt to be sent to Srilanka.
2) Form IMM5669 for spouse
3) Form IMM5669 for self
4) Employment history for self
5) Post secondary degree diploma for self & spouse
6) Proof of fund CAD$10000
7) Form IMM5562

Along with above mail a separate mail for the Medical for all applicants.

I am in Canada & spouse, children are in India.
Q) NDVO has history of not sending receipt soon. what to do?
Q) Educational & Employment already sent while PR as well as in Work permit so why one more time? Is there any other option?
Q) Can I send Previous Medical reports?
Q) Can I show Canadian bank balance along with Indian fund?
